Quick Voice Tips – Can you talk with more ease?

You don’t get points for pushing your voice further than you need to.

But your voice will thank you if you’re working with ease; whatever the needs of your speaking. Ease doesn’t mean relaxed or low energy, it means efficient and working well. Thank you to the glorious Barbara Houseman for reminding me of that in a recent coaching session.

Check in on your speaking today. Does it feel harder than it needs to be? If so, you might want to explore some of your fundamental vocal techniques. Checking in on your physical alignment, your warm up and your hydration are three great ways to improve your speaking technique.

And remember speaking with ease doesn’t just mean physical ease, it can be mental or psychological ease too. One can inform the other.
