Quick Voice Tip – Improving alignment for a healthier voice

When we speak our attention and energy is focused on the audience which can lead to the dreaded chin jut! Try this tip for improving your alignment for healthy speaking.

The whole breath. It often tends to come from the chin! Which puts a heck of a lot of strain on our poor week larynx when it’s trying to move around during phonation.

Next time you’re on the mic, or performing, or presenting notice what’s going on with the chin. Is it reaching forwards? Can you ask it not to? Can you think back into your neck spine. Maybe even pop a finger on the chin when you’re practising to give you some feedback. 

Talk with your chin forwards and then talk with your chin back, how does it feel?
