Audiobook Narrator and Voice Actor

Ana is a trained singer and a full-time narrator and voice actor for Audiobooks, E-learning and Corporate video in both English and Spanish. She is also the founder of Audiobooks club on Club House and host of Wednesday Audiobooks room at The Narrator’s Cup of Joe.

How did you feel before we started working together? Did you have any specific problems or issues? What were you struggling with? What worries did you have?

I was having trouble separating some of my accents, switching back and forth between them. My Irish/Scottish pub brawl was taking too long to record as I couldn’t maintain them independently of each other. I wanted to discuss their independent features so that I could allocate them space in my face and acknowlege why and how they are different.

How did you feel after the course was finished?

Relieved, and aware of what I hadn’t previously taken on board about the accents. Emboldened to tackle them again another time.

What specific result did you see as a result of us working together?

I now have the knowledge to individualise and embody these accents. A greater awareness of being these people and not just imitating a voice. Also, a broader awareness of accents in general, which has already been beneficial.

What did you like best about the experience of working with me?

My favourite thing about you is the calmness with which you deliver knowledge. I never doubt that you will have an answer for my issue and am confident that once I have worked with you, it will no longer be an issue for me.

What would you say to someone considering working with me?

DO IT! There is so much to discover and so much fun to be had. I already recommend you constantly and you are my first port of call when anyone asks me a question about voice and/or accents. Your ability to share your knowledge comes from a place of knowing that there is always more to learn, more to work on. You inspired me to try harder, and it was worth it. I saw actual results and am using my new found techniques to greater reviews.
