Monthly voice class run by accent and vocal coach Nic Redman. Perfect for all professional voice users (actors, voice over artists, comedians, presenters, teachers, public speakers...) or just those who are voice curious, to check in with their voice and work on various elements of vocal technique. Each session will focus on a different area of voice work. Whether you're an actor or a voice over artist, or someone who wants to gain more vocal confidence and awareness, these sessions will be highly beneficial.
The first three sessions in 2018 will cover the following:
Jan 17th – Back to basics: A workshop designed to introduce you to the basics of a thorough warm up progression. The session will touch upon release, breath, resonance and articulation: the four key stages of vocal warm up.
Feb 7th - Approaches to Accents, Part 1: Introduction to a variety of tools to help you begin to break down and embody any new accent.
March 14th - Approaches to Accents, Part 2: More tools to help you break down and embody any new accent.
Each date has two sessions, from 3-5pm and 6-8pm, with space for 10 participants per group.
Please note, the Feb and March workshops work well as a pair. Attendance at one of the two sessions will still be beneficial but together they form a great introduction to approaching any accent you may need.
Class size is limited to ensure participants receive the required 1-2-1 focus during the session so book now to avoid disappointment. All learning materials will be provided. Please wear comfortable clothes and bring plenty of water. Recording is not permitted without prior arrangement.
Thank you to The Making Room at Sheffield Theatres for supporting these events.
*Participants will receive 10% off a follow up session on any of the topics covered with Nic Redman voice via Skype or in person at her Manchester studio *
